Boyfriends and Boots -

I’m not over my boyfriends yet (check here¬†and here for others), and I’ll NEVER get over my boots!!! But I’m sure the day will come when the BFs will grow tiresome. This always happens, no? From old favorites to the thrift pile…this is my life! But until then, I’m going to enjoy them…BFs and boots that is!

NO ONE TELL THE MR…that I was doing a photoshoot with the door wide open in the middle of winter and about a billion dollars in heat was pouring out of that gaping hole to the outside…it’s an old Alberta (cheap gas) habit I guess!

Love Y’all!

  1. Love boyfriends. I know jean styles have changed. I have a pair of jeans I found on the beach at Lake Michigan, where I grew up, from the 70′s. They are men’s jeans of course they didn’t make lady jeans back then. Then I kept a pair from the 80′s, never liked acid wash, but I have some of the peg legs back in my closet. High waist. Don’t really like them that much but kept a pair just in case. I also found a pair on Etsy of jeans fromt the 50′s. Side zip, very nice. too small right now but when I get down to that size will take a pic. I have a couple of clouses from the 50′s to wear with them, with some old boots will be cute. Very nicely made. I think boyfriend jeans kind of encompass all those styles. I wear mostly jeans these days. I will be really sorry when they are out of fashion again.

    • I can’t wait to see the pics in the 50s jeans and blouse!

As for the boyfriend cut going out of style, I think if they are part of your “personal style” then there is always a way to interpret a look that is still on trend; yet, allows your own unique personality to shine through.

      Long live the boyfriends ;)

  2. This looks so comfortable & chic on you.

And ha… sometimes a girl has to do what she has to do to get that perfect photo shoot setting right ; ) My lips are sealed.

    • This is true Raquel! It will be our little secret ;) Thanks for stopping by and all your kind words girl!

  3. I love the boots and the necklace and the jeans, and well you always look so put – together!

    • Thanks girlie! I’ve had those boots for years…they were a major score at a Macy’s sale (60% off the last marked price…they were a whoppin’ $48…regular was $398!). I remember the story of every pair of boots I own ;)

  4. Thatta Girl Suzie, Throw open the windows too. There is lots and lots of oil and gas coming down the pipe. You make this Alberta oil patch gal so proud.

    • Any time Faye! You know Alberta is my adopted homeland, right?!!!

And if BC taxes us any more than it already does (or it rains for more than four days straight between now and spring), I’m comin home :)

  1. Blog love | Langston's Western Wear Blog - [...] out how Urban Country Style is wearing her low boots and boyfriend jeans. I think I might try this …
